For reasons that will be obvious if you read the review, I can't help but love this review from Venture Galleries. DEATH OF A COZY WRITER (my first book) was recently their "Book of the Moment."

Dear Ms. Malliet,

I bought Death of a Cosy Writer after the SinC panel discussion in Bellows Falls ten days ago, and I thought I'd just drop you a line to tell you how much I enjoyed it. I'm all admiration -- the wit is a welcome touch largely forgotten by the genre in recent days (I suspect you of reading Trollope, but I'm sure about Dorothy Sayers), and the way you wove the past into the present skillfully prevented me from feeling cheated at the end when the lovely love child did the deed. Very well done.
I'm going to your Seasonal mysteries from my local bookstore (Bartleby's Books in Wilmington), and I'll also be sending some to my sister, who you really want as a reader, because she buys every volume of every mystery series she likes. Great stuff for the profession!

I've joined Sisters in Crime and am staggering through the web site, getting into the blogging group (after three tries with Yahoo), and working through my own mystery (country house, Cotswolds in 1919, girl-dressed-as-a-boy groom) in better spirits, knowing that I'm not just writing with no idea of where to find a press, agent, and so on. I've been writing between 7 and 9 AM, rather than starting at 9, and the results are predictable.
