Copyedits and Commas
An old-fashioned illustration for a new-fangled process of accepting or rejecting the copyeditor's changes in MWord. It looks like it should be a quick and simple process but as Oscar Wilde said, “I have spent most of the day putting in a comma and the rest of the day taking it out.”
I'm also deleting sentences of mine that don't need to be there and weigh down the narrative.
This is where perfectionism comes in. I will not see this manuscript again until they send me the typeset pages (proofs) when deleting entire sentences won't be allowed.
