I'm on deadline to return corrected proofs of THE WASHING AWAY OF WRONGS - MAX TUDOR #8 - to Hachette / Little, Brown by April 17. The world will have to stop until then. With time off to celebrate Easter, of course. Image by Krysten Merriman
The cover has just been approved for Max Tudor #8 and should be appearing online any day now. This book also has a MAP of the fictional St Luke's College, Oxford, and I'm very excited about that. St. Luke's is Max's old college, and he is called in by his bishop and the principal to investigate the possible murder of the college chaplain. More to come on that map. It is drawn by Rhys Davies and it's another beauty. The book will publish in September 2023. https://www.rhysspieces.com I spent an inordinate amount of time watching coverage of the #Murdaugh trial. I was doing taxes simultaneously so I told myself so much screen time was justified. But in the end, after the guilty verdict, I have two questions remaining. What happened to the two guns, and to the DNA evidence found under Maggie's nails? They couldn't find a match for the DNA but I don't know who and how many they tested.
Either way, look for a cottage industry of new #books on the subject. It's not over yet. He probably did it but there are these unexplored avenues. The guns, especially. NEW: The Rev. Max Tudor mystery series continues in September 2023 with THE WASHING AWAY OF WRONGS (Max Tudor #8) from HACHETTE / LITTLE, BROWN. Preorder now.
Cover reveal March 2023. Eavesdropping on a conversation in my local. It is good to hear two young people talking about saving the world, alleviating poverty. It's important not to let that idealism fade. I haven't heard anything like it in some time.
